When my phone rang about 1:00 a.m. that cold, snowy February morning, I almost didn’t move. I thought for sure it was just the school system canceling school once again that week. But, knowing my dear friend was due any day, I thought I’d better double check. Good thing I did. Once we were sure it wasn’t a false alarm, I was off to the hospital. Now, this former teacher isn’t used to having to drive in the snow, so I was a bit nervous. But, I made it safe and sound and just in time to capture the birth of my best friend’s beautiful newborn daughter.
A special thank you to Johnson City Medical Center and Dr. Herrell for allowing me & my camera into the birthing center. 🙂
